Setting: The Space Station Elysium

Lotus Industries exists on the Space Station Elysium, a Space Station that was created specifically to be a Space Colony sometime in the distant future. The Space station is highly advanced and self sustaining, furthermore AIs have a prominent role that will be explained in more detail in another file.

The Space Station Elysium is a large Colony Space Station. Its size is around the size of Earth's Moon. Its living space is entirely interior, with the 'sky' being where the core would be on a planet. It has a small fusion reactor in the center that provides both light and energy to the inhabitants of the colony.
Other power is generated from hydroelectricity as the water is filtered and as it flows to different locations throughout the station, and solar power from both the Fusion Reactor and the outside of the station.

This immense amount of power allows for artificial gravity to be produced. Day and night cycles are created by panels that orbit the  fusion reactor.
Elysium's total Population is ~300,000,000 (3 Million) with the largest percent of this population residing in its Capitol of Solace.

Cities are treated similarly to States, and have similar sizes. The next largest Cities after Solace, in order, are Asphodel, Arcadia, and Bedlam.
Solace has ~38,000,000 people, Asphodel has ~26,000,000 people, Arcadia has ~19,000,000 People and Bedlam has ~12,000,00 people.

Solace's large population allows for a diverse economy. It also allows it to be the central hub for most of the large businesses and companies.
The largest companies, including Lotus Industries, have their headquarters located in Solace.

Central location for the production of machinery and hardware is Asphodel. Most Hardware and Machinery is created here and then exported to the rest of the station.
Most mechanics learned their skills from schools located in Asphodel.

Arcadia is the central hub for the production of food and the maintenance of the plants that provide the oxygen in the station.
Because of this it has one of the highest populations of police and other security figures. The central computing unit for the weather is also located in Arcadia.

Bedlam was planned as a main population center, much like a suburb. However, because of this population quite a few small businesses sprang up.
These include food services, entertainment businesses like Arcades and Theaters, and various retail stores both new and secondhand.

Though all towns have planned neighborhoods and sectors allowing for a controlled population growth.
Due to its initial planning as more of a 'suburb' and its subsequent structure, Beldam's set up and atmosphere is much like a small town even though its population is one of the largest.

Travel between the Space Station's cities and towns is extremely quick, though most people stay within their hometown. Most individuals also walk or bike to wherever they are headed.
This is mainly due to the fact that exercise is about twice as important in space, even with artificial gravity.

Numerous functions on the Space Station are controlled or monitored with AI, some of which are required for sustained life on the space station.
Due to this fact, Programmers are monitored closely and Hackeing is a top level offense.
Nearly all official/legal programmers are hired by Lotus Industries.
